Grammar Gear and Dress Code
If you have any questions about ordering online from Lands’ End, their customer service centre is very responsive and helpful. Their website also has a comprehensive sizing chart to help you find the perfect size for your student.
At the Halifax Grammar School, our students are welcome to dress casually on most days of the year, while respecting a dress code that requires them to wear clothing appropriate to the occasion and the institution.
Official uniforms are not worn every day but are expected to be worn for specified formal occasions and when representing Grammar on campus or in the community. Grammar gear is worn every Monday.

Official Uniform
All students are required to have official uniform clothing to wear for specified formal occasions such as guest speakers, special events, assemblies, Remembrance Day ceremonies, closing ceremonies, and when representing Grammar on campus or in the community.
Grammar Gear
Grammar gear is part of the Grammar experience and all students are required to wear Grammar branded clothing (Grammar gear) each Monday throughout the school year to show their school spirit.
Please know that students are welcome to wear their official uniform clothing every Monday, and they are not required to buy any other clothing. The Grammar gear is an option, not a requirement.

Prep School
Our Prep School students are required to have the following items:Official Uniform- White dress shirt (long or short sleeve) with khaki pants; OR
- White dress shirt (long or short sleeve) with plaid tunic dress.

- Athletic gear
- Polo shirts (long or short sleeve)

- Khaki shorts or skorts

Middle School
Our Middle School students are required to have the following items:Official Uniform- White dress shirt (long or short sleeve) with khaki pants; OR
- White dress shirt (long or short sleeve) with kilt, plaid skirt, or plaid skort.
Note: Ties and blazers (Grade 9 only) are no longer a requirement but students are welcome to wear them if they wish.In addition, all Middle School students are required to have a Physical Education uniform that includes:- Green short sleeve active T-shirt
- Black mesh gym shorts

- Go to Land's End website
- Select the ‘School’ tab, located at the top of the screen.
- Create your student’s accounts by clicking the ‘Shop by School’ button, located near the top of the screen.
- In the next screen, you will need to enter our School Number – 900190463.
- Then you will be prompted to enter your student’s name and indicate their grade.
